How to stop tick sound on each refresh
If you are using Internet Explorer and you hear tick sound or any other
sound on each refresh. The following are the steps to disable sound (this
will stop only refresh sound only other sound will not be effected):
The solution to disable the sound event in Windows. Here's how:
1)Go to your START menu located at the lower left corner of your screen.
After clicking and holding on the START button, a menu should pop up.
2)Select the Settings option.
Another window should pop out to the side.
3)Select the Control Panel.

This should open up Control panel window.

4)In the Control panel window, double click the Sounds
and Multimedia option.
This will open up the Sounds and Multimedia Properties
window.
5)Use the scroll bar to go about two-thirds of the way
down the Sound Events list until you come to the Start Navigation setting.
Click on the Start Navigation setting to highlight it.
6)With the Start Navigation setting highlighted, move
the mouse cursor to the Name list and click on the (None) setting, which
should be at the very top of the list.
7)Click the OK button to finalize your new setting.
